Crafty

This is about as crafty as I have been lately. We have had so much going on with selling the Seattle house and buying a house here and being pregnant that I have no energy for being crafty. I am hoping that a new craft room will help get the creativity flowing!

Wow, have I been missing in action or what?!?!?! It has been a while since I was here. Sorry to my 3 readers :) Things in the non-crafty world have gotten CRAZY!

We found out that we are expecting #2 in December, finally have sold the Seattle house and are in the process of buying a house in Boise. Between the doctors visits, the morning/all-day sickness, work, house searching, loan paperwork and life - I have had NO time or energy to scrap.

Things are starting to slow down a little, but now I need to start packing all my stuff up so we can (hopefully) move into a new house! Keep your fingers crossed that it all works out! Water Baby - Use Your Stash

Here is a layout from the Hubby's 30th Birthday Album that I am submitting to the Use Your Stash March challenge ~ Eyelets.

I am not one to use eyelets very often, as I think they are time consuming (even with the Big Bite) but I really had fun with these!

Page still needs journaling, but if I wait to post until that is done I will miss the deadline. (Journaling is HARD for me)

Birthday Card

I made this card for a dear friend of mine whose birthday is today - Hi Lori ~ Happy Birthday! :) It is 4.5 x 5.5 white cardstock.

Covered with My Minds Eye Be Merry dot paper. Cranberry ribbon from CTMH and random buttons. The The Happy Birthday stamp and the super cute Checklist stamp are from CTMH. The Checklist is customizable stamp and I picked a few qualities of Lori's and instead of checking the boxes, I used itty bitty sparkes from CTMH.

Advent Calendar

I made this cute little advent calendar for Christmas next year. (I didn’t finish it in time for this year.)


The 3D Countdown Calendar is from Karen Foster and measures approximately 8 1/2" x 8" and each individual drawer is approximately 1 1/2" x 1 1/2". The calendar comes with a template for the drawer fronts and clear number stickers 1-25.

I covered the box and drawers with My Minds Eye “Be Merry” paper. They are decorated with sparkles, brads, ribbon, cut-outs from scrap paper, stickers, Stickles and other embellishments.

The little drawers all pull out and can be filled with candies, trinkets, toys or other fun rewards. I am really look forward to using this next yer with The Peanut ~ I think she will love opening the drawers and finding a different treasure every day!

Boys will be Boys

I did this 12” x 12” 2-page layout a few years ago for an album I made for my dear hubby's 30th birthday. It is pictures of him as a kid doing all sorts of “boy” things.

• Cricut Font – George & Basic Shapes for stars

• Random red ribbon
• Pictures are from 1979-1983, ages 2-6

I can’t remember where I found the quote:

"between the innocence of babyhood
and the dignity of manhood
we find a delightful creature of a boy”

I love this layout, it is probably my favorite from the whole book.

CTMH Acrylic Mini Album ~ Let's Get Together

This was my first attempt at an acrylic album. It was fairly fast and a lot of fun. The photos are from a trip to WI in August 2008 to see friends/family and I used black and white photos so the colors wouldn’t compete with the paper and are uniform. All products are Close to My Heart:
