It's not as good as being picked, but I am still pretty excited about it. i told my self that if I didn't get selected this year that I would probably not do it next year, but the Honorable Mention is making me rethink that decision. I will just have to see how I am feeling about my scrapping next year.
Anyway, the submission requirements were 2 page layouts, 2 cards and 1 altered project. I had my 2 layouts almost done in preparation for the submission and I had an idea for my altered project and I figured the cards wouldn't be that hard. Well, I re-did my layouts, and in doing that almost ran out of time for submitting, so I threw together 2 cards and used a project I finished in February as my altered project. Here is what I submitted:

My altered project was a Christmas countdown calendar made from 2 sheets of 12' x 12" paper, i sheet of epoxy stickers, glitter glue and few random embellishments.

And here are the cards. I think this is my weakest entry because I spent an hour at 2 am finishing these so I could get my packet together and mailed before the cutoff date. My goal for next year is to not wait until the last minute and maybe spend a little more time on all of the pieces.

Anyway, It was really nice to see my name on the website as Honorable Mention and maybe next year....
